Skoda is all set to launch the new-gen Kodiaq in April which was showcased at Auto Expo last month. The model which until now was on sale has been delisted by the brand from the official Skoda India website. Now, the brand will be welcoming the new-gen soon to fill the space with new tech, design, and performance.
Take a look at both the previous and upcoming models to know what new the 2025 Kodiaq will offer.
The model was the automaker's flagship SUV in India with a single Laurin and Klement (L&K) variant and was priced at Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV featured an iconic Skoda grille with chrome elements and sleek LED headlights with fog lamps below it. The bumper had the lower portion all blacked out with hexagonal elements and 18-inch silver alloy wheels.
The cabin of the 2024 Kodiaq used to feature a black and beige color theme, an 8-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, a 12-speaker Canton sound system, and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.
The discontinued model was powered by a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produced 187 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. The engine was paired with a 7-speed DCT and had AWD.
The upcoming new-gen Kodiaq will feature an evolutionary design with revised and sleeker LED headlights, C-shaped LED taillights on the back side, and a redesigned bumper with air inlets on both sides. The SUV will get the new 20-inch alloy wheels and rounded wheel arches with black cladding.
Inside the cabin, it will offer a redesigned 2-spoke steering wheel and a layered dashboard design. The gear lever will be behind the steering wheel, and it is equipped with a 13-inch free-standing touchscreen, a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, and a branded sound system. This new-gen SUV could feature a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and heated and ventilated front seats.
As for the engine, the SUV is likely to be powered by the same 2-litre turbo-petrol engine with better and more performance with 201 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque paired with 7-speed DCT transmission.
