Skoda is all set to give its mid-size SUV, the Kushaq, a much-needed facelift to keep up with growing competition in the segment. The refreshed SUV is expected to arrive by the end of 2025 or early 2026, bringing in cosmetic upgrades, more features, and advanced safety technology.
The facelifted Kushaq will look more premium and aggressive, especially up front. Spy shots reveal reshaped LED headlamps, repositioned fog lights, and a redesigned grille featuring slimmer vertical slats. There could also be a new connected LED DRL strip, inspired by the newer Skoda Kodiaq.
The front bumper looks more squared-off, adding to its muscular presence. While the side profile stays mostly the same, newly designed black alloy wheels will help differentiate it from the outgoing version. At the rear, the Kushaq facelift will likely get sleeker LED tail lamps connected by a light bar, along with a redesigned bumper and tailgate.
Skoda hasn’t revealed the cabin yet, but updates are expected. A new dashboard theme, refreshed upholstery, and possibly soft-touch materials are likely. Tech updates may include:
- New infotainment system with an improved UI
- Fully digital instrument cluster
- New connectivity features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
The facelifted model is expected to debut Level 2 ADAS features — a first for the Kushaq. This will bring it on par with rivals like the Creta and Seltos. Features could include:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Auto emergency braking
- Lane assist
- Auto high beam
The SUV will continue with the tried-and-tested 1.0L and 1.5L TSI petrol engines. Power outputs remain unchanged at 115hp and 150hp respectively.
- 1.0L will retain its 6-speed manual and torque converter options
- 1.5L will continue with the 7-speed DSG gearbox
However, Skoda plans to introduce a new 8-speed torque converter for the 1.0L variant by 2026, improving mileage and helping meet stricter emission norms.
Expect the Skoda Kushaq facelift to launch in India by late 2025 or early 2026. With upgraded styling, safety features, and tech, the SUV will look to grab more attention in the competitive mid-size SUV market.
