Skoda Auto India is all set to make its debut in the highly competitive and crowded sub-4-meter SUV segment with the Kylaq. This will be the Czech automaker's fifth product offering in India and the third model under the VW Group’s India 2.0 project. Booking windows for the new Skoda Kylaq will open on 2nd December, accompanied by the full price announcement. The carmaker has revealed the price of its entry-level variant, starting at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries are scheduled to commence from 27th January 2025 onwards.
The Kylaq compact SUV will be available in four trim levels – Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. While the price of the base Classic (MT) variant is confirmed, the Signature and Signature+ manual versions are expected to be priced at Rs 9.89 lakh and Rs 11.19 lakh, respectively.
The entry-level Classic trim features 16-inch steel wheels but lacks amenities such as a touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, and USB Type-C slots. These features are available starting from the Signature trim, which also adds 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome garnishing on AC vents and door handles, a dual-tone finish on the dashboard, door panels, seat fabric, two tweeters, and a rear parcel shelf.
The Signature+ automatic variant is expected to be priced higher than its manual counterpart, with an estimated cost of Rs 12.29 lakh. This trim includes additional premium features over the Signature trim, such as a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dashboard inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with chrome garnish, power-folding wing mirrors, automatic AC, digital dials, a rear center armrest, cruise control, and paddle shifters.
The top-end Prestige MT and Prestige AT variants might be priced at approximately Rs 13.49 lakh and Rs 14.59 lakh, respectively. These variants come with exclusive features such as leatherette upholstery, powered front seats, ventilated seats, an auto-dimming IRVM, a rear wiper, a powered sunroof, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
All variants of the Skoda Kylaq come equipped with six airbags, three-point seat belts for all passengers, ISOFIX anchors, central locking, adjustable headrests for all passengers, and traction control, ensuring a high level of safety across the lineup.
