If you are planning to buy a Skoda Slavia and waiting for the facelift, we suggest you to not wait and buy the existing model. It has been speculated that the Slavia facelift will arrive in the first half of 2026; however, a new report claims that the launch won’t happen before 2027.
First Launched in 2022, the Skoda Slavia has been one of the top-selling mid-sized sedans in India. In the past 3 years, the sedan received multiple new features and variants. The sedan will complete 5 years in 2027, and will receive its last major upgrade before entering the next-gen.
Expected Launch - Late 2026 or early 2027
Engine Choices - 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo petrol
Competition - Honda City, Hyundai Verna, VW Virtus
The updated Slavia will receive cosmetic design and interior changes. On the outside, the sedan will feature brand’s new “Modern Solid” design language. It is likely to get a refreshed front design with an updated grille, slightly tweaked headlamps and new bumper. At the back, the sedan could get a new bumper and a modern LED lighting system. Except for the new set of alloys, the sedan side profile won’t receive any significant changes.
Inside the cabin, the Slavia facelift is likely to get a revised dashboard and a longer list of features. It is expected to get a larger 10.25-inch digital instrument console instead of the current 8-inch unit. Other additions could include a 360-degree surround view camera, a new sound system, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
The biggest change will come in the form of addition of the LEVEL 2 ADAS tech, which is a big miss in the current model. The sedan will have autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, auto high beam and others. For safety and security, the sedan will have six airbags, ABS with EBD and ESC as standard.
It is reported that the Slavia facelift will receive a panoramic sunroof; however, we cannot confirm the same. The company could offer panoramic sunroof in higher variants, while the single-pane sunroof could be offered in the lower-spec variants.
The Skoda Slavia facelift will continue to be offered with the existing engine options, including a 1.0L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo petrol. While the former is good for 113bhp and 178Nm, the 4-cylinder turbo unit is good for 148bhp and 250Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic with 1.0L engine and a 7-speed DSG or DCT with 1.5L unit.
