Tata Motors has finally dropped a teaser for its first coupe SUV, the Curvv EV. Some of the design images have also surfaced online, hinting at its new design language and premium interior. While the electric version of the upcoming Curvv coupe SUV is expected to launch this festive season, the ICE-powered model will arrive later this year.
The teaser of the upcoming Curvv EV showed a coupe silhouette, boasting its new design trend in the compact SUV segment. Its concept model was first showcased in 2023 and its production version will remain identical to the concept version.
Some of its exterior highlights include a closed-off front grille, aggressive front bumper, sleek connected LED DRL, flush-fitting door handles, sloping roofline, and connected LED tail lamps, among others.
As for the features, the electric Curvv is expected to get a free-standing 12-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated brand logo, ventilated front seats, and an all-digital instrument cluster.
Safety-wise, the Coupe SUV is likely to offer six airbags along with front & rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, Electronic Parking Brake, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 ADAS. The Advanced Driver Assistance features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Assist, Automatic High Beam and others.
The upcoming Curvv EV will be the second electric car from the brand (after Punch EV) to be based on the Acti.ev platform. Detailed battery details for the electric SUV are yet to be revealed, though it is expected to offer a range of up to 500km. The electric SUV is likely to support the V2L (Vehicle to load) function. Moreover, the SUV will come with fast charging.
Tata Curvv EV is expected to launch by October 2024. Upon launch, it could be a potential challenger to the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX and Hyundai Creta EV. Expect the starting price from Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
