Tata has given the Nexon EV a bold, fully blacked-out look, complemented by striking red highlights on the front and rear. Eye-catching Red Dark badging on the front fenders, a special mascot and 16-inch alloy wheels in black-tint lacquer add to the sporty appeal.
Inside, a similar theme is followed but the leatherette seats are finished in red. ‘Dark’ lettering has been embossed into the headrests. In terms of equipment, it gets twin digital screens, a 360-degree camera and connected car technology.
Notable additions courtesy of this edition are a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof and frunk.
The familiar 143bhp/ 215Nm-electric motor that powers the front wheels is used in the car. The battery size has gone up from 40.5kWh to 45kWh compared to the model already on sale. Tata claims that the EV will offer up to 489 kilometres of range on a single charge. It also supports fast charging and takes 40 minutes to go from 10-80% with a 60kWh charger. A range of 130 km comes in just 15 minutes of charging. To note, the 40.5kWh Long Range version will continue to be on sale. It is also equipped with V2L (vehicle to load) and V2V (vehicle to vehicle) allowing the zero-emission vehicle to charge other appliances and electric vehicles using its battery.
