Tata Motors has taken a significant step towards making electric vehicles more accessible to customers. The brand has slashed the prices of its Nexon.ev and Tiago.ev models by up to Rs. 1.20 lakh. This decision is being made because the prices of the battery cells needed for making these eco-friendly cars have dropped slightly over the last couple of months. While the reduction in prices is a welcome move for potential buyers, it is worth noting that Tata has opted to keep the prices unchanged for its recently launched Punch.ev.
Tata Tiago.ev was launched in October 2022 with a price tag of Rs 8.69 lakh. After the price cut, it now retails at Rs 7.99 lakh. That's a Rs 70,000 drop! The Nexon.ev also got a bit cheaper, with the base model going from Rs 14.74 lakh to Rs 14.49 lakh, making a difference of Rs 25,000.
The Long Range version of the Nexon.ev has received a bigger price cut. It now starts from Rs. 16.99 lakh which was earlier priced at Rs 18.19 lakh (ex-showroom), making a total difference of Rs 1.20 lakh. These price updates have ensured that electric vehicles are more accessible to people in India.
The homegrown automaker is driving the electric vehicle revolution forward with a clear vision: to make EVs accessible to all. Offering a diverse portfolio of smart, feature-rich electric vehicles, they are breaking down barriers and attracting a wider audience.
The Nexon.ev and Tiago.ev, in particular, stand out as top choices, offering not just affordability but also cutting-edge technology. With Tata's commitment to innovation, the future of electric mobility in India is not just promising but inevitable.
If you are planning to buy a New Tata EV, now is the perfect time to get your hands on Nexon.ev or Tiago.ev at an affordable price.
