This decision is being made because the prices of the battery cells needed for making these eco-friendly cars have dropped slightly over the last couple of months. Tata Nexon.ev, Tiago.ev: Revised Prices

Tata Tiago.ev was launched in October 2022 with a price tag of Rs 8.69 lakh. After the price cut, it now retails at Rs 7.99 lakh. That's a Rs 70,000 drop! The Nexon.ev also got a bit cheaper, with the base model going from Rs 14.74 lakh to Rs 14.49 lakh, making a difference of Rs 25,000.

The Long Range version of the Nexon.ev has received a bigger price cut. It now starts from Rs. 16.99 lakh which was earlier priced at Rs 18.19 lakh (ex-showroom), making a total difference of Rs 1.20 lakh. These price updates have ensured that electric vehicles are more accessible to people in India.
