Tata Motors has added new AMT variants to its existing lineup for the Nexon Mini SUV. The starting price for the Nexon petrol-AMT range is now Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Smart+ trim, while the diesel-AMT options start at Rs 11.80 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Pure trim.
Tata Nexon AMT: Features
In terms of features, the base Nexon Smart+ variant provides LED DRLs, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 4 speakers, multiple drive modes, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, 6 airbags, ESC, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
The Pure trim introduces additional equipment such as full-LED headlamps & tail lamps, rear AC vents, roof rails, touch-based HVAC controls, a knitted roof liner, wheel covers, a 4-inch digital instrument cluster, and voice commands. On the other hand, the Pure S variant further enhances the package with a sunroof, an electrochromic rearview mirror, auto headlamps and wipers.
Tata Nexon AMT: Powertrain Options
2024 Tata Nexon is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel unit. Both engine options can produce a maximum power of 120 bhp with 170 Nm and 115 bhp with 260 Nm torque, respectively. Depending on the variant, the petrol engine is offered with a 6-speed AMT, a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox (with paddle shifters). On the other hand, the diesel engine comes equipped with a 6-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.

Competitors of the Tata Nexon include the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Venue, and Nissan Magnite among others.
