Upcoming electric Safari will be based on the new Acti.EV platform Likely to feature a similar design to the ICE version Will offer a claimed range of 500 km
Tata Safari EV has been spied testing under the camouflage. Based on Tata's Acti.EV platform, the upcoming electric Safari will feature minor design changes. Besides, the interior and battery details are yet to be revealed.
Based on the spy images, the electric version of Safari looks quite similar to the ICE version from the outside. It features connected LED DRLs and alloy wheels with minor design changes. Rest the rear profile looks similar to the regular Safari, highlighting connected LED taillights.
The interior was not visible, however, it is expected to provide a similar cabin layout to the standard model. It will offer features like a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, touch-sensitive buttons with physical toggle switches for the climate control function, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, an updated 10-speaker JBL sound system, and more.
The powertrain details for the electric Safari are yet to be revealed. However, it is believed that it will offer a claimed range of around 500 km.
The Safari EV could launch in early 2025. The price for the EV is expected to start from Rs 32 lakh (ex-showroom). Besides, it will rival the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV, and BYD Atto 3.
