Tata to Launch 3 New EVs in India - Sierra EV to Avinya

Tata plans 3 new EV launches in India soon. Sierra EV, Tiago EV facelift and Avinya incoming. Focus on better range, tech and premium experience.

Tata Motors is preparing for its next big EV push in India, with three new electric cars expected to arrive within the next year. The brand already dominates the EV space, but this next phase shows a shift towards wider choices and more advanced products.

From updating its most affordable EV to introducing a premium model, Tata is clearly planning a more complete electric lineup.

Sierra EV to Bring a Fresh SUV Option

The upcoming Tata Sierra EV is likely to be the most talked-about launch. Expected around Q2 2026, it will sit above the Curvv EV and target buyers looking for a more premium SUV experience.

The Sierra EV is expected to offer different battery pack options, along with the possibility of a dual-motor version for better performance. A driving range close to 500km is likely, which would make it suitable for both city use and longer journeys.

Its design is expected to carry forward the iconic Sierra identity but with modern EV styling and cleaner surfaces.

Tiago EV Facelift to Get Practical Upgrades

At the entry level, the Tata Tiago EV is set for a refresh. While it remains one of the most accessible EVs in India, Tata is expected to improve it to keep up with growing competition.

The updated model could get new styling elements and a more feature-rich cabin, including a bigger infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.

More importantly, a larger battery pack is likely, which could improve its overall usability and range for daily users.

Avinya to Take Things Upmarket

The Avinya-based EV, expected to debut around early 2027, will represent Tata’s premium ambitions. This model will sit above all existing Tata EVs and focus on offering a completely different experience.

It is likely to be built on a new-generation platform derived from JLR’s EMA architecture and could feature a sleek design with a strong focus on space and technology.
