Renault has recently launched the Triber facelift and Kiger facelift in the Indian market. The company has officially announced to launch two new SUVs in the next 1 year. Its Japanese partner, Nissan, has also announced to launch 3 new utility vehicles, including a new B-MPV and two new SUVs by March 2027. Here’s a list of top 4 upcoming Renault and Nissan SUVs in India -

Renault will launch the third generation Duster SUV in the first quarter of 2026, most probably in January. The new SUV will be based on the heavily localised CMF-B modular platform. It will be manufactured at Renault’s Chennai based production facility.
Renault could reveal the India-spec model before the end of this year, while price announcement could take place in early next year. The Renault Duster will come in petrol avatar, but a hybrid version is likely to join the line-up in late 2026 or 2027. It will be powered by a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with manual and dual-clutch automatic gearbox options. The lower-spec model could either receive a 1.5L NA Petrol or a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine.
Renault will also launch a new 7-seater SUV based on the CMF-B platform. The SUV is rumoured to be the 3-row version of the Boreal that debuted globally earlier this year. The new 3-row SUV will take on the likes of the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari. It will share the powertrain and features with the Duster SUV. This SUV will launch by mid-2026, before Diwali.
In terms of features, the new Renault SUVs will get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, LEVEL 2 ADAS, a 360-degree surround view camera and others.

Nissan has officially announced the launch timeline for its upcoming SUVs. The company will launch a new 5-seater mid-sized SUV in mid-2026 and a new 7-seater SUV in the first quarter of 2027. In fact, Nissan has started testing the new C-SUV, which will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and others in the category.
Both SUVs will be based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B modular platform, and will be produced at Renault’s Chennai based plant. Nissan has also confirmed that it will produce the new vehicles for both LHD and RHD markets.
The new Nissan C-SUV is reportedly to be called the Kait, and its styling will be inspired by the Patrol full-size SUV. The spy images reveal that the SUV features rugged squarish design and upright stance. Details about the 7-seater SUV will be revealed in near future. Both SUVs will be powered by a 1.3L turbo petrol engine with manual and automatic gearbox options. Hybrid versions will also join the line-up at a later stage.
