Toyota has teased the Urban Cruiser EV, and it looks like it will share many features with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, but with some Toyota-specific touches. The SUV will come with a closed grille, U-shaped LED headlights, and LED daytime running lights at the front. At the back, you will see a LED light strip and a clean, sleek design. The SUV will also feature 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and body-coloured mirrors, giving it a modern and polished look.

Inside the Urban Cruiser EV

The interior of the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will be simple but high-tech. The SUV will come with a dual-tone interior, and the dashboard will have a layout similar to the Maruti e Vitara. The SUV will feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster to display important driving information. It will also have vertical AC vents, button-based controls, and a single-pane sunroof to make the cabin feel more spacious and airy.

For comfort, the Urban Cruiser EV will have features like automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, and reclining rear seats.

Performance and Range

The Urban Cruiser EV will be powered by two different battery options. One will be a 48.8 kWh battery that produces 142 bhp and 192.5 Nm of torque, while the other will be a larger 61.1 kWh battery that gives 172 bhp and 192.5 Nm of torque. With these batteries, the Urban Cruiser EV is expected to offer a range of up to 500 km on a full charge. This will make it a practical choice for both city driving and long trips.

Features and Safety

The Urban Cruiser EV will also come with several useful features. It will have ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which includes features like lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. For better visibility and parking, the SUV will also have a 360-degree camera. On top of that, it will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for easy smartphone integration.

Competitors and Price Expectations

Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will compete with other electric vehicles in the market, such as the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Tata Curvv EV, and Hyundai Creta Electric. While the exact price is not yet known, it is expected to be priced competitively to attract a wide range of buyers in the electric SUV segment.
