Some good news for the car enthusiasts in India. Kia and Toyota are going to launch new models within weeks. The Kia Syros is a compact SUV, which will hit roads on December 19, 2024. The luxury sedan Toyota Camry is set to hit roads a bit earlier on December 11, 2024. Both of these promise fresh designs, advanced features, and better performance.
Kia Syros will be a boxy, upright compact SUV. While its siblings look pretty dull from Kia, Syros will wear three-pod LED headlamps, long LED DRLs, and pronounced wheel arches. The L-shaped taillamps at the rear will make the car both modern and tough.
Inside, Syros boasts of the best characteristics. Already equipped in this car are a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a wireless phone charger. It has a lot of features in the aspect of safety, including lane-keeping assistance, and auto braking, among others. In addition, it features six airbags, ABS, and electronic stability control.
The Syros offers cabin space more than its counterpart, the Kia Sonet, especially for rear-seat passengers. This should make it an ideal family car, mainly for families that require extra space.
There will be three engines, a 1.2-litre petrol with 82 bhp power, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol making 120 bhp, and a 1.5-litre diesel making 115 bhp. Petrol variants will come in manual as well as DCT versions. While the diesel variant will have manual and auto. Expect deliveries by the end of January or the first of February in 2025.
The new 2024 Toyota Camry will be a luxury sedan with new designs. It will have an enormous and sleek front grille, narrow headlights with C-shaped DRLs, and a lowered roofline for sportier looks. New colours include Heavy Metal and Ocean Gem.
Inside Camry will be even more luxurious having dual 12.3-inch infotainment and driver information. Others include ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a JBL 9 speaker audio system. All these are ways and aspects that contribute to making driving far easier and enjoyable.
The hybrid powertrain for the 2024 Camry comes with a 2.5-litre petrol engine. It will be equipped with two electric motors. It would guarantee 222 bhp through its front-wheel drive system. There would be another model, but this time, it would boast an all-wheel-drive system and ensure that it will be a 232 bhp powertrain. The car will have its transmission via CVT so that the movements are smooth, in turn operating the ride effectively.
Added to the safety are multiple airbags, hill-hold assist, and an upped ADAS suite. The safety suite makes one of America's top sedans also one of the safest available.
Both the Kia Syros and Toyota Camry bring so much special to their segments. The Syros will be a stylish and spacious compact SUV with many features, safety systems, and lots of space. The Camry will be a luxury sedan as it will have a fresh design and a powerful hybrid engine. So, quite much to look forward to these weeks, as both cars go out at the beginning of December.
