• New variant gets sportier 18-inch alloy wheels • Exclusive Edition badging on the B-Pillar and interior • Powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine
Volkswagen India has launched a new Exclusive Edition of the Tiguan at Rs 33.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tiguan Exclusive Edition gets a select cosmetic changes compared to the regular model. We take a look.

The biggest highlight on the Exclusive Edition compared to the current model is the new 18-inch dual 5-spoke alloy wheels that look much sportier than the standard 18-inch wheels. The SUV also gets dynamic hubcaps and a new load sill protection at the rear while the B-pillar features new Exclusive Edition badging. The limited-edition model is available in two colour options, Oryx White and Pure White.

On the inside, the Tiguan Exclusive Edition gets a new aluminium foot pedals and more Exclusive Edition badges. Mechanically, the Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition remains unchanged. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 190 bhp and 320 Nm of peak power and torque. The unit continues to come mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission which sends power to all four wheels via the 4Motion AWD system.

The Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition is priced at Rs 33.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which is identical to the regular model the same as the regular model. The new SUV rivals the likes of the Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson, and the Citroen C5 Aircross.
