Kia Syros is the latest premium sub-4 metre SUV offering from the South Korean automaker in the country. It is being offered in six trim levels – HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+ and HTX+ (O) – and with two engine options – 1.0L TGDi Smartstream petrol (120bhp/172Nm) and 1.5L CRDi VGT diesel (116bhp/250Nm). Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual (standard), a 7-speed DCT (petrol only) and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (diesel only).
Buyers have a total of 13 variants to choose from with four different engine-gearbox combinations, offering several advanced features. So, if you are planning to buy a Kia Syros and are confused between variants its variants, worry not. This article will help you to choose the most value-for-money variant. Read on for full details:

Verdict: The entry-level HTK variant comes with the 1.0L petrol-manual engine-gearbox combo, priced at Rs 9 lakh. Kia has loaded the base variant generously; however, it devoid of a few advanced features such as a sunroof, leatherette upholstery, cruise control, drive modes, LED headlamps, DRLs and taillamps, alloy wheels and roof rails. The HTK variant offers all basic amenities, justifying its pricing. Its surely a good option for buyers who are tight on budget.

Verdict: The HTK (O) variant is being offered with both petrol and diesel engines, paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. If features such as a sunroof and alloy wheels are among your priority list, then you just need to spend an additional Rs 1 lakh to get the Syros HTK (O) variant. However, this trim also misses out on multiple advanced goodies.

Verdict: The Syros HTK+ variant offers most of the must-have features and offers the most value for money. It’s available with three engine-gearbox options – 1.0L petrol MT 1.0L petrol DCT and 1.5L diesel MT. For the diesel automatic option, you need to go for the higher trims.

Verdict: The HTX offers some additional features over the HTK+ trim including LED lighting system, leatherette upholstery, ventilated seats and electric parking brake with auto hold. If you want more comfort goodies and are ready to loosen up some extra bucks from your pocket, you can surely consider it.

Verdict: The top-end HTX+ trim can be had with petrol-automatic or diesel-automatic engine-gearbox combinations, priced at Rs 16 lakh and Rs 17 lakh. It offers the most value for money with several advanced features including the larger 17-inch alloys, dual-tone leatherette upholstery, Harman Kardon system, Kia Connect and more.

Verdict: The top-end HTX+ (O) trim offers three additional features over the HTX+ including the Level 2 ADAS, side parking sensors and a 360 degree camera with blind spot monitor. And for these features, you need to pay an extra Rs 80,000.
