Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift will be launching on the 23rd of February 2022
The internet is filled with information pertaining to what the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift would look like and the features it will have to offer. However, now what we can tell you is that the wait for the premium hatchback is over as the homegrown automaker will be launching the car on the 23rd of this month.
Having a tagline ‘The Era Of Bold Tech Is Here’, the 2022 Baleno Facelift will offer a whole lot of tech. For starters, it will feature Heads Up Display (HUD) that will provide essential information like speed, real time fuel efficiency, time, climate control details and more. This according to Maruti is a segment first feature. There will also be an all-new 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ Infotainment System with Advanced Voice Asist & Surround Sense powered by ARKAMYS. The four-wheeler will come equipped with a 360-degree view camera alongside 40 plus connected features including Alexa skill. Remote operations through an all-new Suzuki Connect App (smartphone & smartwatch), Amazon Alexa devices, driving behaviour, status alerts, safety security trips and more are going to be a part of the connected car list. Safety equipment on-board will include six airbags, Hill Hold Assist, speed alert system, ESP (Electronic Stability Control), ABS with EBD among others.
2022 Maruti Baleno will provide a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine under its hood. This powertrain will produce a maximum power output of 89 bhp. The engine will come matted to a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AGS (AMT). There is no CVT on offer like the previous generation. As for its fuel economy, the Baleno Facelift is expected to return a mileage of 22.35 kmpl for the manual and 22.94 kmpl in new AMT trim. All the figures mentioned here are ARAI certified. When introduced in India, it will go up against the likes of Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and the Volkswagen in its category.
