What you’re looking at are the clearest pictures yet of the upcoming new Honda Amaze. The fourth-generation model of the compact sedan is all set to go on sale on December 4. With comprehensive design and feature upgrades, the 2024 Honda Amaze will directly compete with the all-new Maruti Dzire. While the prices will be officially revealed next week, a minimal price increase of around Rs 30,000–Rs 40,000 is expected. The current-generation model is priced between Rs 7.20 lakh and Rs 9.96 lakh (all ex-showroom).
The latest images showcase the new Amaze in a striking blue shade at a dealership yard. Significant cosmetic changes have been made, especially at the front. The compact sedan now boasts a large hexagonal-patterned grille, LED projector headlamps with integrated DRLs, a slightly revised bumper, and an upright bonnet. Aside from the newly designed machined alloy wheels, the side profile remains largely unchanged. The rear section features updates such as a reworked bumper with horizontally placed reflectors, sleek LED taillamps, and a shark-fin antenna.
The most notable feature upgrade in the new Honda Amaze is the inclusion of the Honda Sensing ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite, giving it a distinct advantage over its main rival, the new Dzire. Maruti Suzuki’s compact sedan lacks ADAS technology. In addition to this, the Amaze comes with several other updates. The dashboard design has been completely revamped with patterned accents, drawing inspiration from the globally sold Honda Accord. Below the dashboard are rectangular AC vents, and the steering wheel has a refreshed design.
The compact sedan will feature a dual-tone black and beige interior theme, updated seat upholstery, a new steering wheel, and a floating infotainment system, similar to what we’ve seen in the Elevate. Features like a lane watch camera, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, a single-pane sunroof with a pinch guard, and six airbags might also be carried forward from the Elevate midsize SUV.
The 2024 Honda Amaze will continue to be powered by a single 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with two gearbox options – a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. The petrol engine delivers a maximum power output of 89bhp and 110Nm of torque.
