2026 Renault Duster Deliveries Begin; Hybrid Launch by Diwali

Renault India has finally started delivering the new Duster SUV to customers across the country. Deliveries are limited to the turbo-petrol variants only, and its hybrid version is scheduled to be launched by Diwali 2026. As a reminder, the Duster hybrid is already sold out for 2026. 

Unveiled on January 26, 2026, the new-gen Duster was launched on March 17, 2026. It is available in 5 trims - Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno Plus and Iconic. The SUV is currently available with two turbo petrol engines with manual and automatic gearbox options. The SUV is available at an introductory price tag of Rs 10.29 lakh for R Pass customers, while the standard version is priced between Rs 10.49 lakh and Rs 18.49 lakh, ex-showroom. 

The new Renault Duster directly rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. It is available with two engine choices, a 1.0L 3-cylinder, turbo petrol and a 1.3L turbo petrol. While the former is good for 100hp and 160Nm, the 1.3L turbo unit produces 163hp and 280Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual as standard and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic with 1.3L turbo unit. 

Hybrid Launch by Diwali

Renault has confirmed that the prices of the Duster hybrid will be revealed during festive season, before Diwali 2026. It will get a 109bhp, 1.8L, 4-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 49bhp electric motor, a 1.4kWh battery pack and a 20bhp hybrid starter generator (HSG). The combined power and torque output stands at 160bhp and 172Nm, respectively.

Key Features of Renault Duster

The new Renault Duster comes with LED lighting system, pixel-shaped fog lamps and 18-inch alloy wheels. It gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, LEVEL 2 ADAS, six airbags, 360-degree camera, TPMS and others. 

It measures 4343mm in length, 1813mm in width and 1659mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2657mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of 212mm, which is more than sufficient to tackle Indian road conditions. The SUV offers a boot space of 518-litres, which is the largest in the category.
