3 New Toyota SUVs Launching in 2026 – Electric, Hybrid & Fortuner

Toyota Kirloskar Motor is gearing up to expand its product portfolio in 2026 with three new models – the eBella midsize electric SUV, a 7-seater Hyryder and the next-generation Fortuner. The Toyota eBella and 7-seater Toyota Hyryder will be the rebadged versions of the Maruti eVitara and the upcoming 7-seater Grand Vitara, respectively. The all-new Toyota Fortuner might debut in late 2026, with its launch likely soon after or early next year.

Here’s a brief overview of these upcoming Toyota SUVs.

Toyota Urban Cruiser eBella

Bookings for the Toyota Urban Cruiser eBella are already underway. While its official launch date is yet to be announced, the EV is likely to hit showrooms by May 2026. Similar to the Maruti eVitara, it will come with 49kWh and 61kWh battery pack options, paired with a front-mounted electric motor. The Toyota eBella will be available in three trims – E1, E2 and E3 – with an estimated price range of Rs 16 lakh – Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

7-seater Toyota Hyryder

Frequent sightings of the 7-seater Toyota Hyryder suggest that its launch is imminent. The SUV is likely to be longer and more spacious than its 5-seater counterpart. While its overall design and styling will remain similar, the SUV could get new trims, upholstery options and cabin theme. The 1.5L TNGA Atkinson cycle strong hybrid and 1.5L K15C mild hybrid petrol engines are expected to be carried over from its younger sibling.

New-Gen Toyota Fortuner

Codenamed 582D, the third-generation Toyota Fortuner is likely to receive comprehensive cosmetic changes and feature upgrades. However, the SUV is likely to retain the 2.8L diesel engine along with the 48V mild hybrid version, and continue with the existing ladder-frame chassis. Spy shots suggest that the new-gen model will feature a newly-designed grille with two large chromed slats and a redesigned bumper. Other highlights might include new alloy wheels, redesigned tailgate, new LED taillamps and rear bumper.
