The second generation Kia Seltos is currently undergoing testing in India as well as on foreign soil. It is expected that the new-gen Seltos will first launch in our market, while the global debut is expected by April 2026. The company will only introduce the ICE version of the SUV, while its hybrid model to arrive in 2027.
Kia is yet to make an official announcement on the launch details of the new Seltos. Our sources reveal that the all-new Kia Seltos will be introduced in December 2025, and its sales could start in January 2026.
The new-gen Seltos will have an all-new design inspired by the Telluride, which will enter the new-generation on November 20, 2025. It comes with a boxy styling instead of the angular profile of the current car. There is a wider front grille, flanked by squared-shaped headlamps with orange colour DRLs. The new SUV has flatter roof and smoother lines along with thick cladding around the wheel arches.
The rear has a squarish profile, featuring an all-new tailgate design and Telluride-like LED tail-lights. It gets flared wheel arches with prominent cladding, shark fin antenna and roof-integrated spoiler.
The SUV will have an all-new design inspired by the bigger Kia models, including Carnival and EV9. It is likely to get Syros-like connected screen that houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument console, a 12.3-inch infotainment unit and a 5-inch climate control display. In terms of features, the SUV will have a dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, ventilated front seats, LEVEL 2 ADAS and front parking sensors.
The 2026 Kia Seltos will come with petrol and diesel engine options. The engine choices could include a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel. Both manual and automatic gearbox choices will be on offer. The hybrid version will get a newly developed powertrain using a 1.5L NA petrol unit.
