Skoda Auto India has recently announced a unique partnership with Zepto, the quick-commerce platform that delivers groceries and electronics in minutes. This is going to be a new level of convenience for car buyers who can now order a Skoda car online and have it delivered directly to their doorstep.
The exciting part of this announcement is that Zepto promises to deliver these cars as quickly as they deliver the smaller items in 10 minutes. The service is expected to launch soon, and everyone is wondering if Zepto can extend its fast delivery model to cars.
Let's take a closer look at how this partnership will work and whether 10-minute car deliveries are really possible.
Zepto is known for 10-minute delivery on items like grocery, electronics, personal care products, and more. Now, with this new partnership, Zepto aims to bring similar fast service to car deliveries. The company recently launched a new ad campaign promoting this service where Zepto delivered a Skoda Kylaq to customers. The ad highlights the quick delivery model from Zepto now extended to cars.

In the TVC, a delivery agent of Zepto is shown to deliver a Skoda Kylaq on a flat bed truck. The car remains properly tied to the truck that indicates that Zepto is making all needed efforts to ensure safety during delivery. Although Zepto is known for its speedy delivery, delivering cars requires a lot more efforts and care. A car cannot be handled like groceries that are delivered from an online shopping website. Therefore, it's expected that the delivery of cars will take more time than the usual 10-minute promise.
Although Zepto is known for delivering items quickly, delivering a car is not the same as delivering smaller products. Cars require more careful handling, and this process takes longer. Zepto is likely to collaborate with local Skoda dealerships to ensure the availability of cars and the necessary delivery logistics. The 10-minute promise is not likely to apply to cars, and the service will likely take more time.

Zepto will rely on local Skoda dealers to fulfil orders, of course, to the availability of specific models or trims to colours and otherwise. Customers could order Skoda cars online while having them conveniently delivered to a customer's front door. And this new development will make easier car shopping compared to how someone shops for his smaller items today.
