Hyundai was a part of the "Attack Tsukuba 2025" motorsport event held in Japan on the 15th of February. The brand took part in their IONIQ 5 N TA Spec that broke the speed record. It set a benchmark and became the EV with the fastest lap time. The score is secured by professional Japanese driver Nobuteru Taniguchi driving behind the wheel. Other upgrades that this spec features are N Active Sound+ with modified speakers (over 120 dB), new shock absorbers, a Sabelt six-point Hans safety harness, a PPIHC-specification roll cage, motorsport-grade brakes, 18-inch Yokohama ADVAN 005 slick tires, a high-downforce aerodynamic package, a Recaro Pro Racer SPA Hans seat, and an EV fire suppression system.
