The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift gets a sleek new design. Expect updated engines, including a hybrid option. The facelifted Verna will compete with rivals like Honda City.
Hyundai is preparing to launch Verna facelift in India in early 2026. The refreshed version of the mid-size sedan will feature updates to its exterior and interior design, along with engine upgrades. Here is everything we know so far about the 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift.

The 2026 Verna facelift will retain the full-width LED light bar from the current model, but the main headlights below it will be larger and more integrated, possibly incorporating the turn indicators. The front bumper will feature diagonal elements near the headlights, similar to the Hyundai Sonata. The air dam will be more squared-off, with a satin chrome lip for more refined look.
The 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels will be carried over, with the possibility of blacked-out wheels for the 1.5 Turbo variants. The rear of the car will have updated LED light signatures and a revised bumper design.
The interior of the 2026 Verna is expected to feature new trim pieces and a refreshed colour scheme. Hyundai may also introduce dual 12.3-inch screens from the Hyundai Venue and a new three-spoke steering wheel. These changes are expected to modernize the cabin and improve the overall feel.
The 2026 Verna facelift will likely retain the current engine options, including the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (115hp) and the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (160hp). The NA petrol engine will be available with a CVT, while the turbo-petrol engine will come with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Both engines will also offer a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Additionally, the Verna facelift may come with a 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain, making it a direct competitor to the Honda City e:HEV. This hybrid option would provide better fuel efficiency.
The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift will compete with other midsize sedans like the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and the upcoming Toyota Belta. The introduction of the hybrid powertrain could help the Verna compete more effectively with the Honda City e:HEV, which has been popular for its fuel efficiency and features.
