Kia Sonet Facelift Interior Spied

Kia Cars is slated to introduce the new facelifted Sonet in India soon. The compact SUV will get a restyled exterior, interior with new features, and updated powertrain choices. Now, the latest spy shots have given us a glimpse of what the SUV will look like.

Kia Sonet Facelift: What’s Different?

While the Kia Sonet Facelift test mule was clad in camouflage, the leaked images reveal some elements that are different from the current model. The Sonet facelift gets redesigned LED headlights and taillights that are similar to the new Seltos. It also gets a revised front grille, updated bumpers, and new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

Moving inside, the Sonet facelift gets a redesigned lower screen for the climate control functions, with a single row of toggle buttons instead of two rows. It will also get a fully digital instrument cluster, similar to the Hyundai Venue. The Sonet will also get a new brown colour scheme for the upholstery and a rear seat armrest.

Kia Sonet Facelift: Powertrain Details

The Sonet will continue to be offered with three powertrain options. This includes a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor that makes 120 bhp with 172 Nm of max torque or a 1.2-litre N/A petrol pumping out 83 bhp with 115 Nm of peak torque. The sole diesel option is a 1.5-litre turbocharged unit making 116 bhp with 250 Nm of max torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, a 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.

Kia Sonet Facelift: Launch and Rivals

Kia is planning to introduce the Sonet facelift in India by early or mid-2024. Upon launch, it will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Fronx, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV300.
