Mahindra Scorpio-N facelift arriving in next 2-3 months Vision S concept based SUV could debut in the second half of 2026
In order to further boost sales, Mahindra is planning to launch a wide range of new SUVs in the country over the period of next couple of years. The company has recently achieved 2nd position in the list of top car manufacturers by beating the likes of Hyundai and Tata Motors in 2025. By launching multiple new models, Mahindra will aim to further boost sales. After introducing the Mahindra XUV 7XO, the homegrown automaker will launch two exciting SUVs, including the Scorpio-N Facelift and the Vision S concept based compact SUV.

The brand’s top-seller, the Scorpio N is all set to receive a mid-life update in the next 2-3 months. In fact, the SUV has already been caught testing several times on the Indian roads. The 2026 Mahindra Scorpio-N will receive cosmetic design changes and an upgraded interiors with a longer list of features. On the outside, the new SUV gets newly designed headlamps, tail-lamps and fog lamps, revised grille and new set of alloys.
Inside the cabin, the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift will come equipped with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SUV could get a new digital driver’s display, powered driver’s seat and others. In terms of features, the SUV will get dual-zone climate control, a 12-speaker Sony sound system, and LEVEL 2 ADAS tech. It will continue to be offered with the same 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit.

Mahindra has started testing the Vision S concept based SUV on the Indian roads. At the unveiling, Mahindra stated that the production version of the new Vision concepts will start arriving from 2027. However, the Vision S based SUV in production avatar has been caught testing multiple times. This suggests that the launch could take place in 2026 itself. The SUV is likely to be the smallest member of the Scorpio family, and will sit under 4 meters in length.
The new Vision S is based on the brand’s new NU.IQ modular platform, which is compatible with ICE, hybrid and EV powertrains. This architecture will support vehicles measuring between 3,990mm and 4,320mm. The SUV will debut the brand’s new interior design language, which features a dual digital screens separated from each other by an AC vent. There are physical buttons for multiple functions for the centre console. In terms of features, the SUV is expected to get wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, LEVEL 2 ADAS, a 360-degree surround view camera and others.
It is expected to be powered by a 1.2L, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel engines. The company has confirmed that the new SUVs will also receive hybrid and electric powertrains. The hybrid engine is expected to utilise the 1.2L turbo petrol engine.
