Mahindra to launch 16 New SUVs by 2031 10 ICE-powered SUVs, 6 EVs Vision S compact SUV launch by 2027

Mahindra has officially announced to launch 16 new SUVs, including 10 ICE-powered and 6 electric vehicles in the Indian market by 2031. In 2024, Mahindra had announced to launch 9 ICE vehicles and 7 EVs by 2030, including new models and the updated versions of the existing models. By March 31, 2026, Mahindra already achieved over half of that target.

In the past couple of years, Mahindra launched five ICE models - XUV 3XO, Thar Roxx, XUV 7XO, Bolero and Bolero Neo Facelifts, and four electric vehicles, including BE 6, XEV 9e, XEV 9S and XUV 3XO EV.

The upcoming 10 ICE-powered Mahindras will include the Scorpio-N facelift and nine brand-new nameplates. The first all-new SUV will be the production version of the Mahindra Vision S concept. Adding to it, the company will introduce multiple new models based on the Mahindra’s new NU_IQ platform. The company had showcased 4 concepts based on the new platform, including the Vision S, Vision X, Vision T and Vision SXT.

The Vision S and Vision X will measure under 4 meters in length. It is reported that the Vision S based SUV will be the smallest member of the Scorpio family, while the Vision X previews the brand’s next-generation XUV 3XO. The new NU_IQ platform is versatile enough to accommodate different powertrains, including petrol, diesel, hybrid and EV. The Vision S compact SUV is scheduled to be launched in the first half of 2027.

Mahindra will also launch the production version of the BE.07 concept in the country by 2027. It will be the fourth model to be based on Mahindra’s INGLO born-electric platform that also underpins the XEV 9e, BE 6 and XEV 9S. Adding to it, the Vision S and Vision X could get EV derivatives in the near future.
