Maruti Suzuki has finally opened offline bookings for its much-awaited electric SUV, e Vitara, at select Nexa dealerships across India. The e Vitara is touted to be the company's first all-electric product that was recently unveiled in its final production form at the Auto Expo 2025. Though the company hasn't declared the official price of the vehicle, interested buyers can place their offline orders at these dealerships.
The Maruti e Vitara is a landmark in the new electric vehicle for this automaker with its bold, rugged design. The front grille has been blanked off, and there's a glossy black element that merges into the LED headlights, while sporty Y-shaped LED DRLs, along with an aggressive bumper design with integrated fog lights, add to the tough appeal. Large 18 inches alloy wheels see the vehicle parked on the huge ground while sporting its flared wheel arches with some muscular stance; sleek, neat rear, but the whole assembly is seen due to 3-piece LED tail connected by gloss-black trim which seals the whole look, rather stylish and current.
Inside, the e Vitara comes with a lavish, double-tone tan and black cabin and an ultraminiaturized dash deck. The interior boasts with two integrated displays: 10.25 inches for a touchscreen and 10.1 inches for a fully digital driver's screen. For the interior, there is also a new two-spoke steering wheel for a modern feel. It is comfortable at the back due to recline and slide characteristics, rear vents for AC, as well as a charging port available at the rear. The e Vitara also includes wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seat, fixed glass roof, multi-colour ambient lighting, and a 10-way powered driver's seat.
Maruti e Vitara comes in a choice of option in terms of using a battery. There are two versions: the first one is a 49 kWh battery, which can offer up to 142.03 bhp of power and more than 500 km of range with 192 Nm of torque. The second one is a bit bigger and has a 61 kWh battery, which delivers 171.62 bhp of power and 192 Nm of torque. Both variants comes with front-wheel drive, hence a choice that depends on which is needed in performance or the range.
To ensure the complete safety of passengers, Maruti Suzuki has endowed the e Vitara with various safety features. In standard fitment, this SUV gets 7 airbags along with ABS, EBD, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera. Maruti is the first brand to provide a vehicle equipped with Level 2 ADAS-technology-based Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for forward collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and blind spot monitoring.
Maruti e Vitara is expected to get a price range of Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh, ex-showroom. It would be up against a rival set of electric SUVs like, Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and Mahindra BE 6.
