Maruti Wagon R Flex Fuel Launch Price Rs 7.24 lakh

Maruti Wagon R Flex Fuel is available in a single ZXi Plus variant It is Rs 86,000 pricier than the existing ZXi Plus petrol variant

Maruti Suzuki has finally released the price of the Wagon R Flex Fuel in India. The flex-fuel model was unveiled on June 5, 2027 in the presence of Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari. The Maruti Wagon R Flex-Fuel has been launched at a price tag of Rs 7.24 lakh, ex-showroom. It is available in a single fully-loaded ZXi Plus variant with a manual gearbox.

The Maruti Wagon R is the country’s first mass-market car to support ethanol blends ranging from E20 to E85. Compared to the existing ZXi Plus petrol variant, the new Flex Fuel version is pricier by Rs 86,000. It is packed with the 1.2L flex-fuel petrol engine that produces the same power and torque output as its regular petrol model. Adding to it, the hatchback has all the features that are accessible in the standard petrol model.

Key Details

The Wagon R Flex-Fuel version looks exactly similar to the regular petrol model, except for the few new design touches. The biggest difference is the large ‘Flex Fuel’ decal on the side profile. It rides on 14-inch alloy wheels, while the C-pillar is finished in black. At the back, the hatchback gets a ‘Flex Fuel’ badge on the tailgate and a chrome treatment above the license plate.

The interiors remain largely identical to the standard Wagon R. It gets a dual-tone beige and black interior scheme, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, vertically-stacked AC vents, manual AC controls, charging ports, a three-spoke steering wheel with integrated audio controls, and an analogue instrument cluster with a MID.

In terms of features, the Wagon R Flex Fuel gets wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a four-speaker audio system, manual AC, a multi-functional steering wheel, electrically adjustable and power-folding ORVMs, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, a manual day/night IRVM, and power windows. For safety and security, the hatch gets six airbags, electronic stability program, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, hill hold assist, seatbelt reminder and speed sending door locks.

It is powered by a 1.2-litre flex-fuel petrol engine paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 91 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque.
