JSW MG Motor India has recently showcased multiple vehicles at the Auto Expo 2025. Among those was the MG M9, which is a luxury electric MPV. This MPV is expected to launch in India sometime this year. However, the M9 has been spied on testing ahead of its launch.
Let's take a look at this luxury electric MPV from the Chinese automakers.
The spied test mule seems to have Slim LED DRLs on top and vertically arranged LED headlights along with a lower air dam from the fascia. The back of the MPV is dominated by expansive yet sleek LED tail light signatures and the wheels are what is expected to be an aerodynamic design. The back doors of the M9 are of sliding type, similar to what we see in Kia Carnival.
As for the dimension of this test mule, it measures 5,270 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, 1,840 mm in height, and packs a ginormous 3,200 mm long wheelbase. This MG MPV looks truly majestic and will surely exert a lot of road presence.
In the cabin, we can see a premium interior with a luxurious feel with a roomy and minimalist design. The seating design can be offered in 6 or 7 seats.
Some of the features that the MPV includes are a panoramic sunroof, a larger free-standing infotainment screen with a climate control panel below, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto digital driver display, powered front and second-row seats with ventilation and massage function, and a 12 speakers sound system.
The MG M9 MPV is said to be powered by a 90 kWh battery pack that delivers up to 430 km of range from a single charge. It comes with a single electric motor offering 244 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque.
The battery supports 125 kW DC fast charging that will allow a 30%-80% top-up in just 30 minutes. It is likely to launch through MG Select dealerships after Cyberster.
