JSW MG Motor India has planned three major product launches for this year, including the Cyberster electric sport car, Mifa 9 electric MPV and updated Gloster as Majestor. We saw these three upcoming MG cars at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show in January. The MG Cyberster and Mifa 9 are exclusively for the MG Select premium dealership network, and are slated to launch in March. The updated Gloster and its premium variant Majestor will arrive in the coming months.
The design and styling of the MG Majestor are inspired by the globally sold Maxus D90 SUV. This full-size SUV features an aggressive-looking front fascia with a blacked-out grille with horizontal slats, headlamps with split setup and slim LED DRLs, a larger MG logo, a sporty silver bash plate and black cladding running across its length.
The 5-spoke, 19-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, blacked-out elements on the top half, wing mirrors and door handles and a chrome finished running board enhance its side profile. The rear profile of the Majestor looks identical to the Gloster, featuring a sporty skid plate, dual exhaust pipes and wraparound connected taillamps.
MG hasn’t yet revealed interior of the Majestor. However, spy images have revealed some interesting details. The MG Majestor will come with an all-black cabin theme with features such as a free-standing 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster with customisable interfaces.
Most of its feature will be carried forward from the Gloster SUV such as a 12-speaker audio system, three zone climate control, heated, cooled and massaging driver’s seat with power adjust, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charging, auto dimming IRVM, powered co-driver seat with heating, a 360 degree camera, 64 colour ambient lighting, PM 2.5 filter, three zone climate control, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system, 7 airbags, ESP, hill start assist, hill descent control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, and more.
Under the hood, the MG Majestor will feature the same 2.0L, 4-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine, delivering a maximum power of 218 bhp and 480 Nm of torque. Similar to the regular model, it’s likely to get the on-demand four-wheel drive with selectable drive modes. Transmission duties will be performed by an 8-speed automatic gearbox, delivering power to the rear wheels.
The Majestor will be positioned above the Gloster, which is currently available within the price range of Rs 39.57 lakh – Rs 44.03 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Its prices are expected to be around Rs 40 lakh – Rs 45 lakh.
