MG Motor India has recently introduced the new M9 MPV and Cyberster 2-door electric roadster. The company’s next big launch will be the Majestor SUV, which was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The full-size SUV was earlier planned to be launched by mid-2025, around June-July; however, launch has now been pushed to festive season.
The MG Majestor is basically the heavily revised Gloster, and features significant different looks and bigger dimensions. The full-size SUV will be sold alongside the familiar Gloster. By delaying the launch by few months, JSW MG Motor India is aiming to cash in on the festive season’s momentum.
The full-size three-row SUV is already on sale in select international markets as an updated MG Gloster. It comes with an aggressive front fascia, featuring a larger grille, newly styled vertically placed LED headlamps, and stylish DRLs. The SUV gets a more pronounced bumper that houses silver treatment, a skid plate and heavy cladding.
At the back, the new Majestor will have connected LED tail-lights and ‘MAJESTOR’ lettering on the tailgate. The SUV gets newly designed lower bumper, dual exhaust tips and newly styled alloy wheels.
The MG Majestor comes with heavily updated cabin, featuring an all-new dashboard layout dominated by a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a digital driver’s display. It will feature a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, a 360-degree surround view camera, ventilated front and second-row seats and LEVEL 2 ADAS.
The new MG Majestor full-size SUV is likely to be powered by the same 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that powers the Gloster. This engine is capable of producing 218bhp of power and 480Nm of torque. It is likely to get the on-demand four-wheel drive with selectable drive modes. An 8-speed automatic gearbox comes as standard.
