Tata Motors has finally revealed the new Altroz facelift ahead of its expected launch on May 22, 2025. The updated model has received some design changes and an upgraded interior along with new features. First introduced in January 2020, the Tata Altroz has been one of the top-selling hatchbacks in its category.
The Tata Altroz facelift is available in 5 trims, including Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S. Tata Motors has not made any changes to its mechanics, as it continues to be offered with petrol and diesel engine options.
It comes with a significantly revised front fascia, featuring newly designed full-LED split headlamp setup with new daytime running lights signature, new grille with rectangular inserts, and a tweaked front bumper that accommodates new fog-lamp housings. The side profile appears largely similar to the previous model, except for the new set of 16-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels and flush-fitting illuminated door handles for front occupants.
At the back, the 2025 Tata Altroz gets new horizontal T-shaped LED tail-lights, which are connected by an LED light bar. There is ‘Altroz’ lettering on the lower end of the tailgate. It also gets a new sportier-looking dual-tone rear bumper.
Colors - the new Altroz comes with 5 exterior colour options - Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Pure Grey, Pristine White, and Royal Blue.
The new Altroz comes with significantly revised cabin with much-cleaner and premium-looking dashboard layout. It shares several components and features with the Tata Nexon and the Curvv. The hatchback is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a new 2-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo and new automatic AC controls.
The features, which were earlier offered on the Altroz Racer are also added to the regular model. It is now equipped with a voice-assisted electric sunroof, cruise control, rear air-con vents, a 360-degree surround view camera and automatic headlights and wipers.
The new Altroz is available with two engine choices including a 1.2L, 3-cylinder NA petrol and a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel. The former produces 87bhp and 115Nm, the turbo diesel engine is good for 90bhp and 200Nm of torque, Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic.
It also comes with a CNG fuel option. In the CNG mode, the engine produces 73bhp and 103Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.
