Next-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift is almost here, and we all have been waiting eagerly for it. Recently, some sneak peek pictures of its interior were taken in India, giving us a glimpse of what's to come. It looks like the New Swift will have a fancier interior with a bigger touchscreen alongside added features.
It is likely that the upcoming Swift will have a larger 9-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, similar to what we have seen in Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Fronx. Additionally, it might come with additional features like a wireless phone charger, a Heads-Up Display, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and connected car tech. However, some equipment like heated seats might not be available in the version sold in India.
Safety-wise, the 2024 Swift is expected to get 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera system, and front & rear parking sensors among others.
The hatchback is expected to use a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 80 bhp and 112 Nm of peak torque. This new powertrain, part of the Z series, will replace the current 1.2-litre 4-cylinder K series dual-jet petrol engine. With this change, you can anticipate improved fuel efficiency, thanks to its mild-hybrid system.
The price of the Next-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift is likely to be higher than the current model, which starts from Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti is expected to set a price point between the current Swift and the Baleno. Upon release, it will face tougher competition from models like the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, Renault Triber, and the Tata Punch.
