Nissan Motor India has finally launched the X-Trail SUV in our market at Rs 49.92 (ex-showroom). The 3-row SUV is available in a single variant and three exterior paint choices. It will be imported as a CBU model in batches.
From the design perspective, the X-Trail SUV features a V-shaped front grille with chrome surround, LED DRLs, split headlight, thick body cladding, chunky skid plate, 20-inch alloy wheels, and wraparound LED taillights. It gets three exterior colour options, namely Pearl White, Champagne Silver, and Diamond Black.
The brand's flagship SUV comes loaded with tech features comprising the 8-inch infotainment system with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other features include a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, and more.
Safety of the X-Trail is taken care of by seven airbags, a 360-degree Surround Camera, Front & Rear Parking Sensors, Traction Control, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Auto Hold, Hill Start Assist, ABS with EBD, and Brake Assist.
Under the hood, the X-Trail houses a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 161 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque. This 3-cylinder unit is mated to a CVT gearbox and paddle shifters. It also has 12V mild-hybrid technology for enhanced performance. Three drive modes are also on offer - Eco, Standard, and Sport.
The X-Trail SUV rivals the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan, Jeep Meridian, and Hyundai Tucson.
