On December 2, 2024, Skoda Auto launched its first-ever sub-compact SUV - the Kylaq in India. Starting at just Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the sub 4 metre SUV has sparked excitement among customers. The brand has received up to 10,000 bookings within 10 days of the Kylaq launch. Deliveries of the Skoda Kylaq are also scheduled for 27th January 2025, onwards.
The Kylaq, in its sub-compact SUV segment, is giving a tough challenge to Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Hyundai Venue. Within two weeks, Skoda has secured over 10,000 orders. However, this should not come as a surprise as Kylaq is worth buying produce from the brand due to its attractive styling, feature-packed interior, safety, and powerful performance.
Skoda has used a Modern Solid design language for its new Kylaq SUV, making it look stylish from the outside. It highlights split LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, and LED taillights.
Inside, it delivers a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone connectivity, an 8-inch digital driver's display, a wireless phone charger, a multi-functional steering wheel, leatherette upholstery, and ventilated front seats. The Kylaq has 446 litres of boot space, which can be extended to 1265 litres by folding down the rear seats.
Skoda Kylaq is available with only one engine option that is also powered by the Skoda Kushaq. With the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, the Kylaq can push out 113 bhp and 179 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter.
The new Kylaq is offered in four main variants - Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige with choices of both manual and automatic.

Signature AT - Rs 10.59 lakh
