Skoda's popular cars, the Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan have been around in India for a while now. As part of the Czech automaker’s India 2.0 plan, both vehicles are in the works to receive some upgraded features before their facelift versions arrive on the market.
According to a recent media report, the company admitted that both these product offerings required a bit more in terms of features to be competitive in the mind of an end consumer. Looking at the competition, the manufacturer reiterated the importance of having something new and improvements to their current lineup of vehicles.

Many midsize sedans and SUVs such as the Honda City and Hyundai Creta Facelift already have Level 2 Autonomous Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
At present, Skoda's midsize models don't have this feature. However, the brand is working on fixing this. It is said that the automaker is expected to introduce ADAS 2.0 gradually with the upcoming facelifts for their cars based on the MQB A0-IN platform.
This also means the New Skoda compact SUV, will likely come equipped with an ADAS suite. This move ensures that the models will not lag behind competitors like Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet, which already offer this technology in their compact SUVs.
Skoda has been releasing special editions for its popular models like the Kushaq and Slavia, and this trend is expected to continue. Moreover, the manufacturer hints at an expansion of the feature list for these models.
For instance, upcoming models like the compact SUV scheduled for March 2025 launch will introduce features like a 360-degree camera, which is currently not available on the Kushaq. This indicates that by the time the compact SUV is brought into the market, the Kushaq and Slavia are likely to boast these premium features alongside others, ensuring that Skoda remains competitive.
