Tata Motors has recently revealed mesmerising images of the updated Harrier SUV for its fans. Along with the new Harrier facelift, the company also revealed the Tata Safari facelift. Both the SUVs are currently available for booking and Interested customers can grab their favourite SUV for Rs 25,000 online or at Tata dealerships.

Many SUV enthusiasts are already going crazy over the new Harrier teaser. If you are eager to buy a 2024 Tata Harrier facelift, here are the top five things you should know about the refreshed avatar of the SUV:

Tata Curvv Inspired Design

The design of the 2023 Tata Harrier facelift is inspired by the Tata Curvv and Nexon facelift models. Up front, the SUV highlights a new grille similar to the Curvv SUV. It also gets new headlights positioned vertically while the LED light bar is positioned above the grille. The new alloy wheel designs are even larger in size at 19 inches. Towards the rear, the taillight setup along with the reworked bumper design round off the overall styling updates.

Once completely launched, the new Tata Harrier facelift will be available in seven exterior colour options which include Sunlit Yellow, Pebble Grey, Oberon Black, Coral Red, Lunar White, Ash Grey, and Seaweed Green.

Refreshed Cabin

The 2023 Tata Harrier facelift gets a whole new dashboard with more shaper and straighter lines for a minimalist look. The SUV also features colour-coordinated inserts on the cabin depending on the exterior paint you choose to buy. Other major updates on the inside include a rotary drive mode selector with a display and a new 4-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata logo.

With the significant update, the SUV features a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, and powered front seats (six-way for the driver and four-way for the co-driver). Other essential features include neatly integrated ambient lighting, an updated 10-speaker JBL sound system, and a touch-sensitive control panel for climate controls. Apart from this, the SUV retains its push-button start/stop, wireless phone charging ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

Advanced Safety

The new Tata Harrier facelift ensures the safety of its occupants. It gets seven airbags (out of which 6 airbags are standard) and a robust set of ADAS features including Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Other safety features include a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, an Electronic Stability Programmer, a 360-degree camera, and more.

Powertrain Options

Tata Harrier Exterior

As for the powertrain option, Tata will continue to offer the same 2.0-litre turbo diesel motor on its facelifted Harrier. This engine option can develop a maximum power output of 170 bhp with 350 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual and the six-speed torque converter automatic. The automatic models get paddle shifters for better driving experience. For now, there is no petrol unit on offer, however, the automaker might provide one in the future.

The automaker has now revealed that the upcoming Tata Harrier 16.80 kmpl for the manual variants and 14.60 kmpl for the 6-speed torque converter automatic. This is a 0.45kmpl marginal improvement over the pre-facelift model.

Tata is likely to put the Harrier facelift on sale very soon. Prices might start from Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, and Jeep Compass.
