Tata Motors is getting ready to launch the Tata Punch EV facelift in India on February 20, 2026. This will be a mid-life update for the electric Punch, coming just two years after its original debut. Interestingly, the EV is getting its update much sooner than the petrol Punch, which waited over four years for a facelift.
The 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift will bring fresh design touches and feature upgrades, keeping the electric SUV competitive in the fast-growing EV space.
The New Punch EV is expected to take some styling cues from the recently launched Punch facelift. That said, since the Punch EV already follows Tata’s latest design language, the changes will be subtle rather than dramatic.
You can expect sharper LED headlamps, updated LED DRLs and connected LED tail-lamps at the rear. EV-specific elements like the closed grille, front-mounted charging port and aero-style alloy wheels are likely to stay unchanged.

The Punch EV has always been more feature-rich than the petrol version, and that trend will continue. While elements like the illuminated Tata steering wheel and capacitive touch controls are expected to remain, Tata may upgrade the cabin with better materials and a more premium finish.
A larger 12.3-inch touchscreen could also be introduced, making the cabin feel more modern.
Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to retain several popular features, including a 360-degree camera, voice-enabled sunroof, wireless phone charging, auto-dimming IRVM and ventilated front seats. These features already give the Punch EV a strong edge in its segment.
As of now, Tata Motors has not shared any updates about changes to the battery setup. The current Punch EV is offered with two battery options - a 25 kWh pack and a larger 35 kWh pack. The larger battery claims a maximum range of 365 km, and this is expected to continue with the facelift.
