Indian auto market to witness new car launches in March 2023 Automakers like Honda, Hyundai, and Toyota will all be in the game Toyota Innova Crysta will make its comeback with a diesel powertrain
Starting every year and each month, brands set out to woo their customers by either introducing new products or by upgrading their existing models. In the month of March 2023, prospective buyers can look forward to new introductions in the sedan and SUV segment. What we have compiled for you in this article is a list of upcoming cars and SUVs which include the names of Honda City Facelift, Hyundai Alcazar Facelift, New-Gen Hyundai Verna, Lexus RX, and Toyota Innova Crysta in its diesel avatar. Let us now take a closer look at each of these models along with their respective launch dates.

Honda Cars India is preparing to launch its facelifted version of the City on the 2nd of March 2023. According to media reports, the 2023 Honda City Facelift will be available for test drives from the 3rd of March with deliveries expected to begin there after.
The upgraded Honda City will be powered by two petrol engines; a 1.5-litre motor offering a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox alongside an Atkinson Cycle 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid unit mated to an e-CVT transmission. Moreover, its petrol and strong hybrid powertrain options will be upgraded to meet the RDE (Real Drive Emission) Norms and E20 fuel ready.
Talking about the price, expect 2023 Honda City Facelift to be offered between Rs 11 lakh to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol. While for the hybrid, the car is likely to sit in the range of Rs 17.50 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai Motor India Ltd has also revealed the Alcazar Facelift to be launched in the coming days. However, the SUV can currently be booked at the token amount of Rs 25,000.
In this latest offering, the car will feature a new 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine. Its powertrain would be capable of producing 156 bhp of maximum power output with 253 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission alongside an optional 7-speed DCT gearbox.
The upgraded engine is going to be compliant with the RDE Norms and will be E20-ready. In fact, the model's current 1.5-litre diesel engine is also RDE-compliant. Talking about the power output, the diesel engine is capable of delivering 112 bhp and 250 Nm torque. Pricing for the 2023 Hyundai Alcazar Facelift is yet to be revealed. However, we expect the SUV to be priced a bit higher than the current model.

Another upcoming sedan car to be launched in March would be the Next-Generation Hyundai Verna. Set to be introduced on the 21st of March 2023, the All-New Verna will bear an entirely new exterior design. It will be unlike its outgoing model as revealed in the official design sketch by the company. In fact a couple of leaked images online suggest that the car will be very aggressive in design and will offer a feature loaded cabin.
Under the hood, the 2023 Verna will be offered with two powertrain options; a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol (113 bhp and 144 Nm ) and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (156 bhp and 253 Nm). It is also expected that the New Verna will provide ADAS-Tech.
Apart from this, the carmaker is likely to set the pricing of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the sedan which might go up to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
