Features and Safety equipment list of the upcoming 2022 Maruti Baleno Facelift have been leaked ahead of official launch this month.
Maruti Suzuki is preparing itself to launch the much expected 2022 Baleno Facelift sometime later this month. The homegrown automaker had revealed certain exterior design and interior details pertaining to the vehicle. However, according to a certain media report, it is being said that the premium sedan is going to be offered to the Indian consumer with many segment first features. Bookings for the four-wheeler have already begun at an initial amount of Rs 11,000.
We already know that in terms of features the Maruti Baleno Facelift will offer LED projector headlamps with DRL’s, a Heads Up Display Unit (HUD), LED fog lights, a 9-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a 360 degree view camera, cruise control, rear AC vents and USB ports for passengers seated at the rear. Now according to a leaked document, it has further come to light that the new vehicle will provide safety features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP (Electronic Stability Control), speed alert system, Hill Hold Assist and more. Let us tell you that the updated Baleno is the first car to feature 6 airbags in Maruti Suzuki’s product portfolio.
Under the skin, the 2022 Maruti Baleno will come equipped with a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine capable of delivering 89 bhp of power output. Transmission choices available with the hatchback would include a 5-speed manual and an AGS (AMT). Unlike before, there will be no CVT gearbox on offer. When launched, the updated Baleno will look its horns with the New Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz and the Volkswagen Polo in the premium hatchback segment. As for the new pricing, one should expect it to be on the higher side in comparison to the existing price list.
