The Korean automaker, Kia will officially introduce the new 3-row MPV based on the Carens on May 8, 2025. The 2025 Kia Carens will be sold alongside the existing model and will receive a new nameplate. It will come with significant design changes and an upgraded interior along with set of new premium features. Let's talk about top changes expected in the Kia Carens facelift -
The new Kia 7-seater MPV will come with significantly revised exterior design. However, major changes will be made inside the cabin in terms of layout and added premium features.
The Carens facelift will come with significantly revised front fascia, which will in-line with the bigger Kia cars including the EV9 SUV. It is likely to be equipped with a newly styled grille, new slimmer LED headlamp setup with a light bar, and new bumper. The overall shape will be similar to the existing model, but it will have a more aggressive looks.
The 2025 Kia Carens MPV will be equipped with newly styled dual-tone alloy wheels and an updated roof rails. At the back, the MPV comes with revised LED tail-lights connected by a horizontal light bar and a new lower bumper. The new MPV is likely to carry a more SUV-ish profile with design inspiration from Kia EV9 and bigger Kia cars.
The 2025 Kia Carens MPV is likely to be equipped with an all-new dashboard layout, which could be shared with the new Kia Syros SUV. It is expected to feature new colour scheme and upholstery for dashboard and seats. The dashboard will be dominated by a large 30-inch display incoporating a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display and a 5-inch display for climate control.
In terms of features, the new Kia premium MPV will come with a 360-degree surround view camera and a panoramic sunroof. Similar to the Syros, the MPV could also receive ventilated front and second-row seats. It is also expected to receive front, side and rear parking sensors.
The 2025 Kia Carens will be equipped with LEVEL 2 ADAS tech with features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, auto high beam, lane assist and others. For safety and security, the new Kia MPV will have six airbags as standard, ESC, traction control, TPMS and others.
The new Kia MPV will be offered with the same engine options as the current Carens. Powertrain choices will include a 114bhp, 1.5L, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol, a 157bhp, 1.5L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol and a 114bhp, 1.5L, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel. Transmission choices could include a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed DCT with turbo petrol, a 6-speed torque convertor with diesel and a CVT with naturally-aspirated petrol unit.
