The all-new Tata Altroz facelift is all set to hit Indian roads today. This marks the first major update to the premium hatchback since its debut in 2020, bringing a fresh design language, new features, and improved tech. Tata Motors aims to make the Altroz more competitive in the premium hatchback space with this upgrade.
Here is everything you need to know about the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift:

The new Altroz gets a striking new front look, thanks to its twin-pod LED headlights paired with sharp, eyebrow-style LED DRLs. It also sports redesigned pixel-style LED fog lamps, now housed separately and linked together by a wide black insert on the bumper, giving the car a more aggressive and modern appeal.
From the side, the silhouette remains largely the same, but there are noticeable enhancements. The car retains its 16-inch alloy wheels, now featuring a bold dual-tone design. The outside rearview mirrors are finished in black and get integrated turn indicators. A standout addition is the segment-first flush-type illuminated door handles at the front. The rear door handles remain stylishly hidden within the C-pillars.
At the back, the new connected LED taillights bring a sense of modernity and width to the rear profile. A thick black bumper insert further enhances the sporty character of the Altroz facelift.

Tata is offering the updated Altroz in five fresh paint options: Dune Glow, Pristine White, Royal Blue, Ember Glow, and Pure Grey. Buyers can also opt for a contrasting black roof starting from the Accomplished S variant.

Step inside the 2025 Altroz and you'll notice a cleaner, more upscale cabin layout. The dual-tone beige theme adds a premium touch, while the redesigned dashboard houses a new 2-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated Tata logo. This detail has been borrowed from other newer Tata models.

The car carries forward the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit but now joins it with a new 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster — a segment-first feature. There's also a new touch-based climate control panel that simplifies the AC operation.
Tata has improved the comfort quotient at the back too, with the rear seat armrest now offering integrated cupholders — a feature missing earlier.
The Altroz facelift is packed with modern features to keep up with its rivals. Key highlights include automatic climate control with rear vents, a wireless phone charger, a single-pane sunroof, push-button start/stop, cruise control, and auto-folding ORVMs. The driver also benefits from a height-adjustable seat for better ergonomics.

In terms of safety, the updated Altroz doesn’t compromise. It offers six airbags as standard across all variants, a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, 3-point seatbelts for every occupant, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Although Tata Motors hasn’t officially confirmed the powertrain details, the 2025 Altroz is expected to retain the same engine lineup as the outgoing model. This includes a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.2-litre petrol-CNG option, and a 1.5-litre diesel unit. These engines are likely to be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options, depending on the variant.
The updated Tata Altroz is expected to start at a price of around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom). With this facelift, the Altroz will renew its competition against popular rivals like the Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno, and Toyota Glanza.
