2026 Tata Tigor Facelift – Big Changes Revealed

2026 Tata Tigor Facelift design revealed via patent images Gets updated front and rear styling with new features Petrol, CNG and EV variants expected later this year

Tata Motors is preparing a major update for its compact sedan, the Tigor. After the recent launch of the new Tiago, the Tigor facelift has now been revealed through patent images. These images give a clear look at the design changes coming to the 2026 model.

The updated Tigor is expected to launch later this year and could be offered in petrol, CNG, and EV versions. It will also carry forward Tata’s latest design language seen on the new Tiago.

Fresh Front Design Inspired By Tiago

The biggest change is at the front. The 2026 Tata Tigor facelift gets a much cleaner and sharper look compared to the current model.

It now features slimmer headlamps connected by a gloss black strip that runs across the front. The grille is more integrated into the design, giving it a smoother and more modern appearance.

The front bumper has also been redesigned. It gets a wider lower air intake and vertical elements on the sides that may house fog lamps or lighting units. A front camera placed under the Tata logo also hints at a 360-degree camera system on higher variants.

Side Profile Remains Familiar

From the side, the Tigor continues with its familiar compact sedan silhouette. Tata has not changed the overall shape, but new alloy wheel designs help refresh the look.

The ORVMs also appear to include integrated cameras, which suggests that higher variants may offer a surround-view camera system.

New Rear Design With Cleaner Look

At the rear, the facelift brings noticeable updates. The tail lamps now feature a revised design connected by a slim horizontal light strip, giving the sedan a wider and more modern stance.

The rear bumper has been simplified for a cleaner finish. Parking sensors and a centrally placed reverse light housing are also visible in the patent design.

Cabin Expected To Get Tech Upgrade

While the patent images only show the exterior, the cabin is expected to get a big update inspired by the new Tiago.

The 2026 Tigor facelift may come with a larger floating touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and an updated dashboard layout.

Expected features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, Type-C charging ports, auto-folding ORVMs, and a 360-degree camera system.

On the safety side, Tata is likely to offer six airbags as standard, in line with its recent safety push across models.

Petrol, CNG And EV Options To Continue

Under the hood, the Tigor facelift is expected to remain unchanged mechanically.

It will continue with the 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 86 PS, along with a CNG option producing around 75 PS. Both engines will be available with manual and AMT gearbox choices.

Reports also suggest that paddle shifters could be added to AMT variants, making the driving experience slightly more premium.

The Tigor EV will also receive similar design updates along with EV-specific changes such as a closed grille and unique wheel designs. Battery options are expected to remain similar to the Tiago EV.

Will The Update Help Tigor?

The compact sedan segment has been shrinking as more buyers move towards SUVs. However, the Tigor still remains one of the most affordable sedans in India. The updated model is expected to launch after the Tata Sierra EV debut on June 30.
