Skoda will start sales of the new Kushaq facelift in the country from March 2026. Moreover, the company has started testing the Slavia facelift which is expected to be launched in Q2, 2026. Volkswagen is also developing facelifts of the Taigun midsize SUV and the Virtus sedan, which are scheduled to be launched in Q2 and Q3, 2026, respectively. The new models will receive design and interior changes along with a longer list of features.

The SUV in its facelift avatar has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. It won’t receive any changes to its sheet metal, and the silhouette will remain the same. Majority of the changes will be made to plastic parts, specifically to its front and rear. The SUV will have a revised rectangular-shaped grille, new headlamps and revised bumper that houses new fog lamp housings. At the back, the VW Taigun facelift will get revised tail-lights and new lower bumper.
The cabin will receive significant changes in terms of styling and features. It will have a revised dashboard trims, a bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. Similar to the new Kushaq, the new VW Taiga will get automatic AC, single-pane sunroof, rear wiper and defogger, and rain sensing wipers as standard. The top-spec model will get a panoramic sunroof and a rear-seat massager function. The SUV will continue to be offered with a 1.0L and 1.5L turbo petrol engines. Instead of a 6-speed AT gearbox, the 1.0L turbo engine will be paired to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The spy images reveal that the VW Virtus facelift will get an updated front and rear design. It will receive largely cosmetic changes along with new feature additions on the inside. The sedan is expected to get new bumpers, revised headlamp and tail-lamp units. Inside the cabin, the sedan will get new trim pieces, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 10.25-inch digital cockpit.
The Virtus facelift will share most of its features with the new Kushaq. It will get LEVEL 2 ADAS and a panoramic sunroof. The sedan will continue to be offered with the existing 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo petrol engines. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual, an 8-speed torque converter automatic and a 7-speed DSG.
