Mahindra Thar Armada launch later in 2024 May get six airbags, ADAS suite Suspension setup will be borrowed from Scorpio N
As the launch of the upcoming Thar Armada nears, a heavily camouflaged test mule of the SUV was spotted near the Automotive Research Association of India’s (ARAI) facility in Pune. It will share its underpinnings with the Scorpio N and the driving dynamics will be improved, sources say. The direct rival of the upcoming Thar Armada is the recently launched Force Gurkha five-door.
Pricing, according to our estimates, will be less than the Scorpio N and would range between the Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 23 lakh bracket. With the Thar Armada’s arrival, the SUV segment in the under Rs. 20 lakh segment will receive a major addition.

In the latest spy shots, new 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels in dual-tone were also spotted. This is another addition to the new bumper and new LED lights which were seen in photographs earlier. The SUV will reportedly feature a sunroof but it remains to be seen how is that achieved as the three-door Thar gets a plastic roof.
Apart from that, the images reveal a new 10.25-inch infotainment system which looks very similar to the one in the XUV 3XO. Its interior will also get a digital instrument cluster, push-button start/stop and rear AC vents.

The five-door SUV will likely carry the 2.0-litre petrol (200 bhp, 370 Nm) and 2.2-litre diesel (130 bhp, 300 Nm) engines as opposed to the existing Thar’s powertrains. Two and four-wheel drive options are to also be made available.
