The Hyundai Creta Electric and Kia Syros have started reaching dealerships across the country of India, giving a preview of the same to customers and an opportunity to experience their test drives before they start hitting the roads officially. Recently, both the models were unveiled at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which created much excitement for the Indian market.
The much-awaited Hyundai Creta Electric has finally started to arrive at dealerships across India since its launch at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Creta Electric comes in four variants: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence and is priced from Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 23.50 lakh (introductory ex-showroom). Bookings are already opened for the vehicle, but without the final dates for test drives or deliveries. However, with the model now being in dealerships, test drives will soon start coming in.
The Creta Electric comes in two battery options. The first, a 42 kWh battery, makes 133.15 bhp of power and has a claimed range of 390 km. The second is a larger 51.4 kWh battery that makes 168.66 bhp of power and offers a range of 473 km. Both versions have a single electric motor and include fast-charging. The 42 kWh battery is charged fully in 4 hours using the 11 kW AC charger, while the bigger battery takes 4 hours 50 minutes. In addition, both versions can be charged from 10-80% in just 58 minutes using a 50 kW DC fast charger.
And speaking of other news, Kia Syros dealerships are now live. People can take a glimpse at this sub-4m SUV before it goes official on February 1, 2025. The one at the dealerships is a beauty in Frost Blue color and flaunts some prominent features such as LED headlights, LED tail lights, and a 360-degree camera. Options available include two types of engines for the Syros: 1.5 litres turbo-petrol producing 118.35 bhp of power, and a 1.5-litre diesel producing 114.41 bhp of power. The above motors are matched with several transmission variants, including a 6-speed manual with the turbo-petrol and a 7-speed dual-clutch for the same.
Inside, a dual-tone cabin in blue and grey colors offers leatherette upholstery and a wide panoramic display consisting of a 12.3 inches touchscreen. Kia Syros will be priced between Rs 9.70 lakh and Rs 16.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the compact SUVs like Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, and Mahindra XUV3X0, and then there are the bigger ones: Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
