The Creta Electric by Hyundai is aimed to be more affordable for the Indian market. This is because one of the biggest factors in determining its price would be the local sourcing of battery, which makes it cheaper in terms of production. Hyundai has already localized the battery for this model, and in the near future, it plans to decrease costs further with the local production of battery cells, powertrains, and power electronics. This move is expected to make future electric vehicles more affordable for consumers.
Hyundai has already revealed Creta EV battery, range, and some features. The brand will disclose the full price list of this electric SUV at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025. Let's look at what the all-new Creta Electric offers and how it compares to other popular electric SUVs in India.
The Hyundai Creta Electric is available in two variants of batteries. With the 51.4 kWh, it claims a potential range of up to 473 km per charge, and the 42 kWh variant gives the customer a potential range of 390 km. It supports DC fast charging by filling from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes, while the home charger will give you a complete charge for the battery in approximately 4 hours, using the 11 kW wall charger.
Creta Electric faces stiff competition from other rivals. MG ZS EV is equipped with 50.3 kWh battery, which offers a range of 400 km. Tata Curvv EV gives two options regarding the battery, 45 kWh and 55 kWh, between 400 and 502 km. Mahindra BE 6 also comes with two batteries: 59 kWh and 79kWh, which offers the best-in-class range between 530 km to 683km.

The Creta Electric features several upgrades for a better driving experience. The upgrades include twin 10.25-inch infotainment and driver's information screens, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and comfort. There are also features of an 8-speaker Bose sound system, six airbags, 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS. The electric version also includes Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity, allowing remote access to the car, as well as a digital key for key-less entry.
Rivals like the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Mahindra BE 6 are also offer advanced features. The MG ZS EV boasts a 10.1-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a panoramic sunroof. It boasts six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill descent control, and ADAS features including Blind Spot Detection and Lane Change Assist. On the other hand, the Tata Curvv EV comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Level 2 ADAS on its power-adjustable driver's seats. Mahindra BE 6 is the promise of luxury through 16 Harman Kardon speakers, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, superfast 5G networking, and all other advanced safety features like all-wheel disc brakes and brake-by-wire technology.
The Hyundai will announce the full price list of Creta Electric at Auto Expo 2025. But we can expect it to range between Rs. 17 lakh to 27 lakh, ex-showroom. That way, it shall prove to be amongst the most cheap electric SUVs so far.
