Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched the long-awaited facelift of the Grand i10 NIOS in the country. Starting at Rs 5.68 lakh (ex-showroom), the new entry level model for Hyundai in India comes equipped with two powertrain options with both automatic and manual transmission.

The new Grand i10 NIOS builds on four key pillars for 2023: New Age Design, Innovative Technology, Outstanding Safety and Splendid Interiors.
In terms of the exterior, the car now gets a bolder and sportier look while maintaining the overall silhouette. This includes a fresh face that includes new painted black grille, sweptback LED headlamp, prominent hood lines and a new design LED DRLs. Towards the sides, we see the new 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheel, a shark fin antenna, roof rails and more. At the rear, the overall look remains the same, but the four-wheeler now get a connected-design for the LED tail lamps. Overall, the subtle new elements help elevate the looks of the Grand i10 NIOS as a more premium product.

Moving to the interiors, the car now comes finished in a dual-tone black and grey theme in place of the all-black cabin from the last generation model. The honeycomb pattern on the dashboard continues along the central tunnel and helps elevate the overall experience on the inside. Other new elements include the switch to an all-analogue instrument cluster with digital MID, blue footwell lighting, new design seats with NIOS embroidery, cooled glovebox, wireless charger and more.

Keeping in tandem with the old model, the new car carries forward the 8-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Push button Start/Stop, rear AC vents and cruise control.
Talking about safety, Hyundai has introduced standard 4-airbags on all models of the 2023 Grand i10 NIOS. The models also gets optional 6-airbags, TPMS, ESC with VSM, hill-start assist control and more providing a peace of mind to its customers.
The 2023 Grand i10 NIOS comes powered by the 1.2-litre petrol and CNG powertrain option. The Kappa engine is rated for 83 bhp and 113.8 Nm of torque in the petrol guise and comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT transmission The CNG model is available in only the manual trims with the maximum power output dropping to 69 bhp and peak torque to 95.2 Nm. Compared to the earlier models, the new Grand i10 NIOS are more efficient with the petrol returning a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.7 kmpl, while the CNG returns 27.3 km/kg.
The new model is available in a total of 6 single-tone and 2 dual-tone colour options and rivals the likes of the Tata Tiago and the Maruti Suzuki Swift in its segment.
