Kia India is gearing up to unveil the Carens facelift on May 8, 2025. First introduced in 2022, the Kia Carens has quickly become a strong contender in the MPV segment. However, the facelifted model will not replace the current version—instead, it will be sold alongside the existing Carens with a new suffix added to its name to differentiate the two.

The 2025 Kia Carens facelift will receive a number of exterior upgrades, keeping it in line with Kia's latest design language.
Expect a slimmer grille, redesigned LED headlamps, and a revised front bumper. The MPV will also get new alloy wheel designs, and the rear section is likely to sport a full-width LED lightbar, much like the one seen on the updated Kia Seltos.
Previous spy shots have shown that the interior layout of the new Carens is expected to be minimal. Likely changes include new upholstery options, updated dashboard trim, and fresh interior colour schemes.
Apart from this, Kia is expected to introduce a larger touchscreen infotainment system, an updated all-digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and a panoramic sunroof on the top-spec variants—making it one of the most feature-rich MPVs in its class.
The Carens facelift in India is expected to retain the current powertrain options. These include:
These tried-and-tested engine options will continue to offer a balanced blend of performance and fuel efficiency.
Currently, the Kia Carens is priced between Rs 10.60 lakh and Rs 19.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted model is expected to carry a slight premium, with top-end variants potentially crossing the Rs 20 lakh mark.
Once launched, the Carens facelift will rival MPVs like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Toyota Rumion, XL6, while also overlapping with 3-row SUVs such as the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus.
In addition to the facelifted version, Kia is also developing an all-electric Carens variant. While details remain under wraps, the Carens EV will launch at a later date.
