Kia Carens has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 8.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) India.
The wait is over for Kia India’s next offering, the Carens. The Korean automaker has announced the introductory prices of Carens that start from Rs 8.99 lakhs and go all the way up to Rs 16.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) India. The ‘Made in India’ MPV is available in 19 variants. To break it down further, it offers 5 trims with 3 engine and transmission options. With bookings already open from the 14th of January 2022, according to the company they have received 19,086 bookings for this MPV. For those interested in purchasing this new car can do so by logging onto the official company website or visiting the nearest Kia authorized dealer and paying an initial booking amount of Rs 25,000.
Looking closer at the 5 trims, the Kia Carens will be offered in Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus variants. The MPV will provide both 6 and 7 seat options to customers. Safety features list here would include 6 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, ESC, HAC, DBC VSM among others which will offered as standard fitment across all five trims. As for the powertrain choices, the Carens comes fitted with Smartstream 1.5 petrol, Smartstream 1.4 T-GDi petrol and a 1.5 CRDi VGT diesel. While the transmission options comprise a 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed automatic gearboxes. Further, the company claims that the MPV will provide low cost of maintenance at an estimated figure of 37 paisa per kilometre.
Apart from the price announcement, Kia also introduced ‘My Convenience Plus’ an aftersales initiative for Carens owners. It can be purchased at the time of buying the vehicle alongside programs like Pre-Paid Maintenance, Extended Warranty and optional Road Side Assistance. Customers will also get the opportunity to choose from Premium and Luxury packages that cover the car for a time period of 4 and 5 years respectively. Additionally, the company has also brought in My Kia mobile app. It is available both on Android and iOS platforms where the user can request for a test-drive, video consultation and even book their preferred car online.
